UHMWPE Rod Production Base Officially Put into Operation
In 2025, our company reached a major milestone - its ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) rod production base was fully completed and put into operation. As the largest UHMWPE rod production base with the most complete specifications in Northern China, the completion of this project not only fills the gap in the production of large-diameter rods in the northern market, but also marks a significant improvement in China’s independent supply capacity of high-performance engineering plastics.

Large-Scale Production, Breaking Through Industry Bottlenecks
The base is equipped with 20 internationally advanced extrusion molding equipment, adopting a fully automated control process to achieve mass production of UHMWPE rods with full specifications from 5mm to 500mm in diameter, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons. Among them, the stable production of 500mm large-diameter rods is particularly critical. Its density uniformity is ≥98%, and its wear resistance is more than 10 times that of ordinary polyethylene. It can be widely used in mining machinery, ship fenders, and other fields, greatly reducing equipment maintenance costs and extending service life.
Technology Leadership, Continuous Innovation
To maintain its leading position in the industry, the group simultaneously established a UHMWPE application research and development center in the base and reached strategic cooperation with top domestic universities and research institutions. Currently, the R&D team has successfully developed special formulas such as low-temperature resistance (-200°C) and UV resistance, and has reserved 7 patented technologies to provide technical support for future high-end market demand.
Customer Recognition, Broad Market Prospects
After mining customers tried our company’s 500mm rods, they clearly stated that the maintenance cycle of the conveying system was extended from 3 months to 18 months, and the overall cost was reduced by 40%. This feedback confirms the excellent performance and market competitiveness of the product. In the next three years, our group plans to increase production capacity by another 30% and launch fiber-reinforced UHMWPE composite materials to further expand its application in the heavy-duty industrial field.
Looking to the Future
The commissioning of our UHMWPE rod production base not only strengthens the domestic supply chain of high-performance engineering plastics, but also provides downstream industries with better material choices. With continuous technology upgrades and sustained capacity expansion, our company is steadily moving towards the goal of becoming a global leader in UHMWPE materials.
